Life in between
City life has always held a spell over me; the web of systems, the city's influence on culture, culture’s quiet rebellion in reshaping the city. Lives intertwined, moving past one another, yet unaware.
I have always believed that every city has a character. To me, Helsinki is trustworthy and tolerant but reserved, reluctant to be overly intimate. It takes years to get to know it, and just when you think you do, it reveals hidden depths you never imagined. To truly understand it, you must listen very closely, very carefully.
Perhaps that is why, after nearly nine years, I still call this place my second home. And perhaps I'll never leave, even though I always think about moving somewhere else; a state of being caught in between.
Life itself is always something in between—between beginnings and endings, between seasons, strangers, and spaces.
With this zine, I hope to explore those liminal moments in time in Helsinki.
